There was no beef on him being on the list. I just wanted to be sure that he was given due consideration. If I had any beef with someone being left off the list, it would be Pedro. But I also know that my personal view of Pedro could cloud my judgement and have him higher in my mind than he truly deserves to be.

Clemens was great. He is worthy. But before I put him on any list he has some explaining to do. I'm guessing he will have to answer, under oath, questions about his maybe using performance enhancing drugs while with the Red Sox. Remember, he was very close to Jose Canseco when Canseco was with the Red Sox. I can't wait for that questioning ... To answer you beef, no, he's not there.

I think Bill Russell is way too high on that list. He was obviously a great player, but I don't think he's nearly as widely known as Bird. Also, whether you like him or not, Clemens has to be considered for this list. He was a larger-than-life type of player for his entire career and is probably the best pitcher in Sox history.
