He signed a 3-year extension at the beginning of the 2006 season for $15.5 million, including a $1 million signing bonus.
The reported salaries are $3.5 million this year; $4.75 million in 2008; and $5.75 million in 2009.
Also included in the deal is an $8 million team option for 2010 with a $500,000 buyout.
The bottom line is that his contract is one that would interest a lot of teams. The Sox have made up their minds on Jacoby Ellsbury. He's their man, no matter what Crisp's contract is.

You are right. The Sox have to take care of their own house. They have almost three months to figure out the lineup, Schilling and a backup outfielder/pinch hitter.
