Curt Schilling? Ok, not long on longevity but no Boston athlete is more synonymous with guts and determination than Schilling.

Bill Rodgers? Winner! John Havilcek ( sp? ). Big Winner. Johnny Most: Icon. Robert Kraft: Demi-Icon. ( maybe after the Pats win this year he should be upgraded)

Both Schilling, Rodgers, Havilchek--and even Dave Roberts--trump Williams based on the fact that they all grasped the brass ring, Williams did not.

Marciano was a great choice!

I would flip flop Steelers & Vikings but Favre has a history of tailing off in the 2nd half of the season.
Then I would flip flop the Bengals & Giants. The Giants are in a funk now, coach Coughlin can wear on his players. I think you are starting to see the effects of his style of coaching.
Also I would flip flop the Chargers & Broncos. The Broncos beat the Chargers in SD,they play again in Denver...never a good place to play for a warm weather team!
One team I would at least give an honorable mention to is the Houston Texans! They play tough, they did beat the Bengals and gave the Colts fits. They are 5-4 now with a realistic chance to go 9-7 or 10-6 if they beat the Dolphins!

Nice to ignore that Peyton has a ring and well, just the general recent "stats" which let's see:

Indy is 3-1 vs a brady-led team in the last 4 seasons with of course the afc comeback being in there.

Indy has won more SBs in the last 4 seasons.

Typical though of Pats fans and Pats media people to ignore the recent history and focus on crap from 2001-2004 when the rosters were totally different.

Indy with Manning could win the next 3 meetings vs the Pats including in the playoffs and you people would still say "well brady has the better head to head record of 7-6."

MOVE ON.

Be sure tomorrow to post Manning's INTs vs NE in the games from earlier in the decade and ignore than in Brady's last 3 games vs Indy he's been picked off 7 times. Got to make sure you are totally biased with your "stats" since heaven forbid you give Peyton/Indy any credit.

Since Brett Favre is all the rage right now (as well he should be with last week's game heroics and his 40th birthday coming on Oct. 10th), I'm dusting off a decade-old, 18-minute banquet speech I made that features a pair of schlubbs (me and another guy) trying to get Brett to autograph a brand new Packer helmet for then high-riding nighttime radio host Art Bell.

It's a funny story well-told, which made it popular before YouTube and Facebook, but nobody has seen it for a decade. It's main point is that it ultimately shows Brett in an out-of-the-limelight situation in which he is instinctively polite and courteous when he has absolutely no need to be. It casts him in a favorable light that I'm sure many fans would appreciate knowing about.

I am not a racsist person I get along with everyone with whatever color, Look if you was drowning in a pool would your dog or some dog rescue you no if would run away. Do you people praise dogs more than god himself? or is it a racsist problem do you need a brian scan I think so. People out here rape that kill their family and others that don't get protesters in court like this I think that people should protest the criminals for killing people. My case is closed

Mark Sanchez doesn’t appear to physically be as imposing as he looked in college? What does that mean? Interestinly, all the reports are that his arm strength has been better than expected (and this was evident if you watched the pre-season games). a QB, isn't a position where being "physically imposing" is a requirement. This isn't to say Sanchez will be a star, or even any good, but to conclude he'll be just another QB solely because he's not relatively big doesn't make any sense.
