Rob, could you clarify... The Globe said Jon Lester would NOT be left behind in extended spring training, but the blonde on NESN Sports Desk said he WOULD be left in E.S.T. Which is it, and if he's not being left in Fort Myers, where should we expect him to start the year? (I assume Pawtucket...)

Rob,

We've been reading a lot about Bryce Cox lately (in those other papers), but nothing about anybody else in the minor league camp. Any news about Justin Masterson? Daniel Bard? Carlos Fernandez? Ryan Kalish?

I know you're not on site anymore, but ... are you hearing anything about these guys?

Speaking of the team's low batting average, and 9 HRs, is there any concern that Magadan may be to blame here or does it really not matter like you suggest? Sure it's spring, but Manny has been hitting all winter and he has one double, Papi has one HR and Tek and Coco have averages that make Mirabelli's performance last year look like Teddy Ballgame.

I want to see what Pineiro can do. If he's not the closer to start the season, I'm going to be pissed.

I want the bullpen to pretty much look like this: Snyder-Delcarmen-Okajima-Donnelly-Romero (LOOGY)-Pineiro. Screw Tavarez, he's useless, and let Timlin heal on the DL.

If Lowell can keep hitting for power to left, I'll be giddy. He can tattoo balls off the Monster for doubles all season long.

J.D. Drew is really endearing himself to a lot of us with his spring performance. Let's hope it translates to the regular season.
