The Jets chose not to show up …
Rob,
The minor league info is great and soxprospects.com really appreciates it as it seems you are the only one getting info on the minor league players. Thanks again.
Rob,
I would like to point you to a thread over on Sons of Sam Horn about the quality of the writers covering the Red Sox (it can be found here:). It seems just about everyone picks you as their #1 baseball writer and I agree 100%, this blog has very quickly become THE place I look forward to visiting everyday. You put forth interesting, insightful and more real columns instead of the infotainment junk so many writers spew. I realize you may not be able to comment on this matter but I want to realize how much this Sox fan appreciates your JOURNALISM. Keep up the good work.
or should I say that SoSH thread can be found here: http://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?showtopic=15...>
Best blogger/writer around right here folks.....thanks again Rob. Now no more days off!!!
I have never quite found out the how the Red Sox feel about Wily Mo. Do you know if they think hes a future all-star that they see on their team for many years? Or do they see him as an expandable player who will never reach his potential?
Quick correction: Justin Upton signed for 6.1 million. B.J. Upton signed for 4.6 million. Debarr obviously played with B.J.
I enjoyed the piece on Bryce Cox. Very much overlooked in these days of the four horsemen of the current Red Sox rotation.
Would love to see the same Cox type of piece on Daniel Bard, all i have heard of this kid was last fall when his fastball was the hottest topic of the Nation.
Hi Rob -- keep up the great work. Question: Any chance I'll see Jon Lester pitch while I'm in Fort Myers this week?
One more comment about Youkilis. All I was saying (and I was joking around anyway) was that you said "perhaps" and then "obviously" when describing Youkilis. We all know that he has a great eye for balls and strikes. I was picking on the grammar, not the info. Just ignore me.
Thanks so much Rob for the info on Pedroia and Cox especially. It's great to read such interesting and informative stuff, especially compared to the Manny/Schilling baloney we've been getting elsewhere.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Ellsbury and Murphy play on Wednesday. Anything you want to pass along on them would also be appreciated.
Rob,
Better watch out...CHB might classify you as a "Fan Boy Blogger" if you continue the good work around here.
Thanks for bringing us these great updates from the Fort. I enjoyed todays Blog about some of our great prospects. I'll be back..early and often.
It took all of one visit to your site for me to bookmark it. Keep on doing EXACTLY what you're doing.
Wow! I've been reading you're articles for a good long while but I'd never checked out the blog until now. At least until Spring training is over this is my new homepage. If there was justice in the Boston sports media, you'd be the head writer at the Globe.
A question I have that you might be able to answer is this: How are Breslow and Lopez looking? The way both looked in small samples last year, coupled with how little faith I have in Romero, makes me question why, other than Romero's higher salary, we haven't heard more about these two lefties.
