The Jets chose not to show up …
I agree with you on Samuel. He might be great.
Let the rest of the country hate us. It's pure jealousy.
The Eagles did come in with a good game plan that kept Brady off the field, and gave Feely open WRs inside the Pats coverage scheme. Good on 'em. Other teams can certainly learn from their approach, but then so can Bellichick et al....
I believe that's just what teams will do. There is one problem: Wes Welker. He couldn't be covered by the saftey who wasn't helping out on Moss.
Remember, the Patriots moved the ball up and down the field most of the game against the Eagles, especially when they had to. They had a TD called back, which would have given them 38 points.
Bottom line is Pats didn't play great. I'd hold off in saying the Eagles figured anything out. Remember, Donte Stallworth isn't bad either. The Ravens game will be interesting. We may know more then.
BTW - Bill, If the pats get the 49ers 1st rounder next draft, and say its a # 3 or 4, who do they get? A "D" lineman or Linebacker?
Thanks, Jim T in L.A.
Ellsbury has to be completely UNTOUCHABLE and is the future of the franchise. Young, smart and aggressive, he is needed even though many say it is all about the pitching. (Johnny doesn't agree with me....he is cement headed on pitching...
Thanks for all you do for Sports.
