ETBlogs Sports: Do you agree with All-Star game winner getting homefield advantage in WS?

I know it sure did make me wonder if there is a backup plan on determining World Series home field advantage if the All Star Game is forced to end in a tie.

I think it's great. They don't need to add pitchers to the roster, they just need to stop babying them. If all of the AL closers pitched more than 2/3 of an inning, running out of pitchers would not have been an issue last night.

I don't like how the game determines home field advantage. I think the team with the better record throughout the seaon should get home field advantate. The managers treat the game like an exhibition game, which it is.

I think that by adding that home field advantage to the game, makes it truly competitive, as baseball should be. Francona is always thinking and knew what the win meant. Good to see Drew as the MVP. What a difference a year makes.

I think Tito was celebrating because he wasn't going to get a nasty phone call from the Rays about putting their ace pitcher in left field in the 16th inning.

I believe that the current method is the best that they can do. It gives the players something to play for. Look at who has won the previous all-star games and have received the home field advantage. Look at who has won the world series. There is a definate correlation. If you think a homefield advantage doesn't matter, just look at the home and away records this year. Enough said.
