Love him or hate him, you have to agree he is a great pitcher.
He is in my opinion, a hall of famer, earning it with his courage in 2004, and who can forget that almost no hitter last year. He was the one who made Boston whole again.

I don't see how either my opinion or yours enters into it. I don't plan on asking his opinion about my retirement options. Do you plan on seeking your reader's opinions on yours?

The decision is entirely his to make.

I don't see why it's a decision that needs to be made now. If the choice was have surger or retire, then I could see a point to the discussion. At this point, it's speculation. I'd love to see a healthy Curt Schilling rebound and get at least one more good year in. And I don't think he should announce his retirement until after he is healthy to make an informed decision.

Well I chimed in on the article. Unfortunately people mix off-field with on-field and the former has an illogical impact on the latter. Who cares if he supports George Bush? I certainly don't but that has no bearing on what he has helped the Red Sox do, ESPECIALLY in 2004. I roll my eyes half the time he opens his mouth, too, but what difference does it make?

Curt did great things in this town, and that's how I will remember him.
