I was just on &lt;a href="http://www.generalmanagercorner.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="www.generalmanagercorner.com"&gt;www.generalmanagercorner.com&lt;/a&gt;, and people there were BASHING bill its such crap!&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Buhner</dc:creator><pubDate>Mon, 17 Sep 2007 12:08:46 -0000</pubDate></item><item><title>Re: Belichick fined $500G; Pats fined $250G and lose 1st rounder</title><link>http://blogs.eagletribune.com/sports/2007/09/13/belichick-fined-500g-pats-fined-250g-and-lose-1st-rounder/#comment-5697072</link><description>&lt;p&gt;It's a hefty penalty, bigger than anyone expected.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The team is getting fined $750,000, because let's face it, the team is going to pay Belichick's fine for him.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;But, on top of that to lose a first-round pick ...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Goodell was going to come down hard, we all knew that, but this is an iron fist.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What it also does, is it doesn't let the issue die. When it starts to go away, we will be reminded of it April when the draft comes around. If whoever gets picked in the slot that the Patriots would have picked goes on to a great career, we will be reminded of it for years to come. "We could have had that guy" would be the statements coming from all over New England.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It's cheating, they deserved to be punished, but I still don't see how it would be a huge competitve advantage. Signals are coming from three of four coaches on the sidelines. To pinpoint which one is real, and then match up each play with each sign, and then be able to, in under 7 seconds, relay that to someone on the field ... a little much.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Mike</dc:creator><pubDate>Fri, 14 Sep 2007 11:35:29 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
