1. Boras is just rich and can afford to buy the best seats.
3. I agree, and I hope we all get free tacos again this year.
4. Lackey has always been a hot-head. I wouldn't read too much into his reaction last night.
5. The same thing happened last year. Everyone talked about the Angels' offense, and then they went into the tank in the playoffs.
9. Ortiz has been resembling his old self more and more over the past month, and I agree that his playoff heroics seem destined to return as well.

I just read somewhere that Boras is also Teixeira's agent and that the Angels front office is actively pursuing trying to make a deal to keep him in SoCal. Maybe that was why he was lurking & leering?

The guy bugs me. The gall of him to be there, front and center, is amazing. I believe he, more than anyone, turned Manny on the Sox. Manny has never ever been about money. Why now? The guy doesn't even know how much he has. He loses paychecks like I lose pennies. But now he wants to get paid. Don't be surprised if Lester comes his way, via Varitek.

I have been saying the same thing about the Manny situation since before he was even traded. I am going to not only pretend (for my own sanity) that Lester will stay far away from that disgusting rat, but continue to hope that Tek has one thing in common with ARod: sending Boras packing. A girl can hope, right?

7. This one is really bugging me right now. There is no way that Masterson should be ahead of MDC in the pen. His walk rate is atrocious and he has served up way too many homeruns for a groundball pitcher. Manny has been pretty much lights out since the all-star break and with his plus change and solid-average curve, he actually has a reverse platoon split. If there's a part of the lineup coming up that alternates left/right, there should be no question that it's MDC coming in.
